This learning module provides the learner with an overview of Cognitive and mental health issues associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
After the module, the learner will be able to describe the various domains of cognition and understand the areas of cognition most affected in people with Parkinson’s.
In addition, the learner will understand the psychological changes most common in people with Parkinson’s and identify the neuropathological changes. Activities that are proven beneficial for protecting cognition and brain health along with behavioral treatments most effective in improving mood and motivation in Parkinson’s will also be discussed.
